Currently, the GameAI sub is triggered using a timer on the server which is set to run every 4 seconds. As some of you know I am creating a text-based mud game. I fixed this by adding a security feature. Even if you sniffed the packets and made yourself admin it still wouldn't let you log in. |

With Gaikens version the sprite walks off the screen with scrolling maps on. |

Yep, a good point which I would have put across but couldn't be bothered explaining the disadvantages. He asked how to do it so just gave him an idea :) I think as long as the main server is hosted on a high bandwidth connection it should be ok, but yeah, it would be rather stressful sending TWICE t... |

It is possible. When the maps are loaded from the hard drive all the map data is stored into memory. The only time the files are used is when saving and reloading a map with the changed data (When editing a map for example). All you would have to do is have the server load the map data from the exte... |

Ok. Currently, the monster attacks the first person that enters the room, and only choose one target per hit. I want the monster to randomly pick a target out of all the players in the room.
