Proof or it didn't happen. Let me phrase this in different terms since you obviously know what I meant, but chose to ignore it. How can you say this place is better off if you have no PROOF. AKA, what is your proof this place is better? Considering I made 3 different replies was I suppose to instan... |

That's like saying stick with vb6 because people are used to it I say do dx8 or dx9 Vast, vast, vast difference. I believe that Microsoft has ended support for VB6. On the other hand, we have VB.NET which will be supported for many years to come. I don't think the people behind this project are stu... |

Yes you can use DX7 in VB.NET (I'm assuming, since more people would be familiar with that). I would actually recommend it since that's what everyone is familiar with on these boards. |

Nobody was running after you trying to kill you. Those are monsters that are a part of the Crimsonscale quest (t4cbible.com) which are killable, but will not automatically attack unless provoked. If you read the instructions, you are supposed to look for the little red guy near the temple for your n... |

You need them too :) If the building is 5 tiles long on top, they need to be five tiles long on bottom, too. The houses you have behind the front ones make the front ones have huge, angled back walls... totally not natural. The middle one is way off :D There's something else about the map that I ju... |

the buttons were made from an online editor called cooltext.com. I'm sick of trying to get someone to make a GUI for me and getting stood up, even when I offer to pay. so if I have to make my own GUI so be it, and it won't look nearly as good as anyone else's because image editing is not my strong ... |

A plain form with normal buttons and text boxes would look better than that. The background is just black and white pixels. The buttons are generic and were probably made in Jasc Paintshop. I would suggest either: A) Finding someone who will make you a GUI. B) Stick with normal form controls. |

I am currently looking for talented mappers for my game, Thrones of War. The engine it uses has been coded from scratch in another programming language besides VB6. The maps can be very large, but I've decided to put a temporary limit of 500 x 500 on them to ensure that they will not greatly affect ... |

With the most optimized code, you may take it from really slow to really slow - 1. You can't speed up something just by cleaning up the code around it. Simple file I/O like string reading along with variable-location I/O like the INI reading is very slow. Period. It has nothing to do with the code ... |
