Your thing would provide an excellent base, because you're quite a decent coder, as far as I know. Still, I hope every addition will be discussed before added, to make sure it's working perfect.

If Dugor lets me do things my way here, I'll post a list of features, and allow users to "vote" on what they think is good for a solid basis. Until then, please don't discuss it - we don't want genusis adding in ranged weapons :p.

Hehe, totally correct, I can't take into account people's preferences ;p. If you prefer having it in an independant form, this is the way to go.

That''d be a very good thing, in my opinion. In my own ooold engine, I moved all editors in one form as well, it decreases file size, time it takes to compile, load, and probably some other things. Oh, about your disclaimer, I don't think ANYONE has a problem with someone posting a tut. But, accepti...

I'm sure we can all pitch in a bit on MSE4, already told you the way I would like to see, and judging from your post, you're definatly going that direction.

Most programmers here will try to keep amound of forms used to a mimumen.

On the other hand, in a proper client, admin stuff should be taken out anyawy, in the rare event someone hacks admin access.

Aka, the first 2/260's second you see the map try out both options and see what gives high FPS.

But when all ground tiles are filled, like in most maps, the only effect is adding MAX_Y*MAX_X If statements, actually decreasing FPS. The more tiles you use, the less this works, and eventually this'll give a negative effect, with all ground tiles used. So I stand by original opinion, not huge ;p.

Is this being done for fringe/mas as well?

I guess the reason for this is that in most games, all floor tiles are covered, your huge FPS jump must've been an empty map. A good optimization, no doubt, but a huge one?

Small addon

IF IsNumeric(String) = True Then
Oh, its not true, cause its a string, not a number.
End If

To prevent players sending a string instead of a number which can lead to server crash.

Not a bad idea, +1 for you, but next time edit as little as possible. Messing around with things may cause errors that aren't in the real MSE4 version.

Some of these are not useless. Well, one I seen. Lol. Some of these are just basic security checks. Such as the one checking to make sure you're not higher than the max_items. A good packet hacker could get higher than that, in an attempt to crash the server. Which, he would crash the server, were ...
