http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/cambridge/projects/fsharp/ You can make any language a DOT NET language. All you have to do is click here ^^ . VB.Net is not going to die. Just trust me xD (sry for no sources). The important is that you are using the .Net Framework. If you are using Vb.Net, C...

imo, MS should be improved to stay alive, or revive. MS was developed in an actually dead language. VB6 IS a dead language since MS does not update/upgrade it anymore. IMO, MS should be translated to other languages like C++/C#/VB.Net, or anything like that. And, IMO, DX8 is good. DX7 is way too lim...

My question is, what is different about the Convert.ToString() compared to the blah.blah.ToString? Convert.ToString() is a bunch of functions from the .Net Framework. .ToString() is a class member function. The thing is that every type in C# already has the implementation of the ToString function, ...

I'm a programming failure but I say C# since it's multi platform and will never become outdated wheras in the future .net will probably become obsolete just like vb6 did. gives me an excuse to get off my ass and try learning too. Just to formalize things here: C# AND VB.Net are BOTH ".Net"...

I tried, didn't work. It's some kind of problem I'm having with my server. Maybe is how I handle the packets, but I'm not sure. A vanilla MSE2 works normally, even thou it uses string packets and I use binary.

Damn >< Ok, I found out that the problem is NOT the SOX nor the IOCP nor even WinSock xD It's some kind of problem with my packet handling. I'll post the code. Client side is the same things as a simple binary packets client. I add to the header the size of the packet and the packet's code(enum). Th...

It loads/runs like it is supposed to, I've even opened the port so outsiders can connect, and then can. But when a client connects it got stuc...
