No.

The tutorial replaced GetMapRevision
It loaded the map into tempMap after modifing loadmap (or you could have created a getMap to return a map it loads
then it checks the revisions, and if equal, it sets savemap = to tempmap

To answer the first post... As long as both applications are capable of sending data to each other, it doesn't matter what language they're in. But if you're going to write a C++ client you may as well write a C++ server too. ROFL Attempting private servers :O You have an odd sense of humor...

I'm sorry, but I don't like it. It just doesn't fit with MS

That might look cool for something else, but not MS.

You can use blttohdc from a surface. Or create a new clip like what MS does for the main pic box.

autoredraw is a property of the picture box, I think its so it gets refreshed when its cleared. I'm not sure why he would have problems with that though. What happens when you turn it off?

Don't tell me I'm wrong if you are too stupid to understand. When you tell somebody they are wrong, you better be right. What I posted was a way for you to handle when keys are pressed. Even outside of the program. With that you can detect the keypress and display the logo for a second or so. Its si...

You can learn how to use a low level keyboard hook here: http://www.codeguru.com/vb/gen/vb_system/keyboard/article.php/c4829/ Or search google or planet source code if don't like that. It won't work in all situations(you can use programs to make screenshots) however it will work most of the time.

That would do nothing but give people a false sense of security.
Unless you are talking about encrypting the gfx files. If so, just point them to the tut for working with ver's bmutil program.

Does vbGore have scrolling? Otherwise I'm not sure what the diff is between the screen and the map is.
How does the scrolling work, what is the map size in relation to the viewable screen?

If anyone has a working sox client, please send it to me, I want to see if it works. I've been having trouble running MS via wine on linux, it works up to initializing TCP settings, which makes me think its a problem with winsock, I'm just curious if a sox client would work.

I don't mind gays, I've got a few gay friends, but I absolutely hate the ones that go dancing around, touchy feely, announcing to the world at every chance that their gay around me (Its not the fact their gay, its their attitude) I feel a bit uncomfortable around them type of gays, I'll happily hug...

google it or look on pscode. It lets you capture key presses(even from other apps) and decide whether to pass them on or not.

What you would do is, you would draw it somewhat normally whenever you do your first draw, then each time they move, you would draw the outer portions of the visible area again.
