I think this is due to the deep, loud rough voice that he sings these savage bars, sometimes obscuring his more sophisticated lyricism. His music is enjoyable since you know he doesn't make up stories he's never lived. As in his song "There isn't any social clubs in the city that don't know me, ask the mob I'm doing contract killings for all of them by being lonely" not saying Avalanche is a contract killer for the mob but when I met with Avalanche for an interview it was in a Portuguese cafe/social club located on College street, a part of the city of Toronto Canada known for "Soprano" like activities, If you're aware of what I am saying. I was shocked by how comfortably he blended into the black community in this particular environment. Avalanche explained that his name was derived from his martial artists coach. The people in his neighborhood called him "The The Architect" because of the manner in which the Architect made friends with all.

Avalanche allowed me to glimpse his architect side when I was at the club for the day. I ended up attending a biker party with Avalanche and he appeared to be the man-of-honor.
