Not to be a dick or anything... but is this a project that's going to be finished?

I was really hyped about one of the sources you were going to do back in the day, and then it never panned out. Same with KoC. This is something i'm really interested in, so i'd love to see it completed

I think I have completed quite a few things... I know there are some things that I haven't, but not many.

That said, I fully intend to work on this until completion. I can't speak for Dave, but he is interested in it as well.

You should do it in C++, you know you want to learn a new language

Dave's pushing for that, too..

I'm open.. Might just do a mix of C/C++.. We'll see.

Grim and i got into this before, WINE is a wrapper, not an emulator... it uses the windows API. (Check the wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_%28software%29)

Anyways, as far as possible future client development goes, do you have an SDK in mind for the graphical part (and i'm going to assume that it's openGL)?

We currently have no plans for a Linux client-side, but we are considering it. Right now, we are focussing on the server-side.
