Well i got the Server Up

But got some Question

1. Do i really need to Download The next version of do i can jsut stat with the v025?

2. How can i change the battle Style like when u fight with monster or person your char will be on left and the monster in right?

3. Is there Possbile to Make a Register page and Server Status,Account Create,Total Users Online Html Script Automatic for my Website?

4. How can i let other user play my Server?

5. It is Ok if there a Membership system script like Runescape like when u login there a email box from staff and Member Box that say r u a member or not and let u Pay to be 1

is it possible to setup a pay to be a member where u put ur game acc and confrim then when i get the money then they can be Member and acess New Place that members cant and Get new Weapon and Armor and Do New Quest? that would be cool

6. How can i change all Class Sprite or add new Class Like Ragnarok and make all the Char when they login look all like Ragnarok
I want to change all class sprite to Ragnarok char and the control Char to Ragnarok char too

There are a lot of questions there, I think they need to be addressed seperately;

1. The open source code supported by the website is Mirage Source, MSE1, 3.0.3, and 3.0.7 most of the members have worked with or at least studied this code before starting their own project. If you have a question about a specific game/engine please post it in the subforum for that game/engine.

2. This kind of feature would need a fair knowledge of programming and grphics coding, I think I remember there being at least one project that had this as a feature, which one I'm not sure.

3. From what I understand of it, having MySQL or a similar database programmed into the game/engine helps alot with website account integration.

4. Are you refering to a particular server? Mirage(MSE!) uses Winsock to determine the IP address of the server when it's started, the code for setting this in the client is at the top of modConstants. GAME_IP and GAME_PORT

5. I don't agree with games at this level of developement charging for membership, but that's just a personal opinion! Donations schemes or item malls seem like a good idea for raising revenue, as to how to do it, that's beyond me right now, anyone else know??

6. As a rough guide from MSE1 you'd have to alter the code to 32x64 sprites, change the sprites.bmp for the new graphics and then modify the classes.ini file and associated code.

And your last post, Mirage doesn't have scripting, but there are some mighty fine tutorials on the site, best of luck.

Hope some of this has been at least a little help...

Those features are extremely complex, and if you don't have any prior experience (or, dare I say, expert programming experience!) you probably won't be able to complete them.

None of us here are expert programmers (with one or two exceptions), but we mostly know enough of the theory to push you in the right direction. WIth something as complex as those, we will not be able to supply you with code because we simply don't have it.

For creating accounts from a webpage, get in contact with Dragoons, he's done it.


If you're thinking of charging for a Mirage Source based game, think again. I know I wouldn't pay to play one

Lots of people here are capable of doing lots of wonderful things.

NPCs don't generally follow you unless you attack them.

Server and client folder are usually located wherever you extract them to.

You're using v025 of what? This is mirage source. And as far as I know, no such v025 exists.

Now, I know you've been given a lot of advice from a lot of people. I also know that more or less all of it was way over your head, so I advise you to heed my advice.

1) If english is your native tongue, use a spell check. If not, try to use a translator as a lot of things you say are quite hard to understand.

2) It's obvious you don't know much about mirage source, so before you go plundering yourself into features you should first get to know your way around the code.

3) Asking for such unique features...Well, you're probably not gonna get anything from anyone here unless it's something very simple, or so general that it will benefit every member of the community to write up any sort of public tutorial.

4) People that come here to learn are welcomed with open arms. People that come here to be hand fed features usually get discouraged and leave.

I really suggest you go learn Visual Basic and then work on some smaller features.

All of what you said is possible, and I personally know I could do it, but I've been working with QBasic since I was 9 and Visual Basic since I was 12, so that's 7 years of programming experience and 3 years of that working on Mirage.
