Okay i've been working on a game engine but need a source to work from. After much pms with other people from other forums they sent me here. Is it legal/allowed for me to make a game engine, it will be free, never sold, no profitable, and credit will be given to the community all etc. plus a couple more from my team. is that okay? |

Yes. That is okay. The source is free. |

Yes all of that is OK. We don't care if you sell it, make a profit off of it, or give us credit. MSE Build 1 was put under a license by the former owner, but the current owner has removed that license from it. He should really remove that license information from the package But, of course, credit is nice. |

Unless you know Mysql then don't use 307. 303 is old school and is not supported here so use MSE1 =) |

There is ways to make a VB6 project standalone, but it involves extreme programming knowledge. It's easy to install the VB runtimes, and you can distribute them with your package, so there really is no issue with making Mirage stand-alone. |

Check in the tut sections. You'll find them there. Aside from banking, guilds, and most of the other features you asked about. We're not a charity here. Learn to code. Please don't just ask for something in every post you make. If you want something simple, go download elysium. |

MS303 is a 2D map-based Online role playing game. It offers chat, Players that can attack and cast spells, NPCs that can move around the map and attack. Pickup and usable items including buffs and poisons, weapons, shields helmets and armor. One currency is supported An in-game map/NPC/spell/Item editor Ability to open doors upon passing, and lock with keys. Not too much more than that... |

There are plenty of free compiled engines out there. This is a source. |

Especially since.. if you don't have VB6, there's no way to add anything to it.. and Mirage by default is very empty, allows for more customization that way. |

technically, we can not distribute a compiled copy of the vanilla Mirage Source Engine. The GUI components in it (the graphics) are property of Shannaracorp, and must be changed before the release of your product. If someone were kind enough to replace those graphics, either they could redistribute it under a new name, or if they donated it we could compile and distribute that version. |
