Has anyone managed to convert ms to vb.net is it even possible I tried and got a bunch of errors |

What's the point of converting. You're just losing all the advantages you would get for doing so? Besides, you'd basically have to re-code the entire thing. |

Well im not converting it but im making an engine in vb.net like mirage so i wont be converting it im just going to be making it from scrach Even its more work its going to be fun |

Ya I was thinking of making it from scratch as well cause in learning .net so I will get started sometime soon and have a vb.net version but will there be much differnce? |

So I asked william a while back he said about four years to start as a newb from scratch making a new source but that in vb6 should take around same time for vb.net do you think we can get it done faster I do anyway |

If you are learning .net at the same time as porting the source, it will be more difficult, but can be done. Just take your time, backup frequently, and be prepared to delete everything as you learn better ways to do things. |
