I am going to be driving (er riding actually) in a car for 10+ hours on sunday monday wednesday and thursday, and i will have nothing to do, so i figured i would make a mirage type engine (same thing as mirage, but codded from scratch) and i had a couple of questions before i start. Should i use Sing Double or Tripple Buffering? and Should i work with resource files or .bmp/png/gif/whatever files. more questions to come. Thanks! |

Sing Double? As for which file type, it should be fairly obvious. DirectDraw = .bmp, Dx8 = .png |

Use .png no matter what form of graphics you use. It saves hard drive, and they're converted to bitmaps in memory anyways. Use double buffering, triple is overkill and unnecessary. I don't know what sing double is. |
