Hi folks.

I was thinking about my tileset (I finally got a custom control to work :D)
and I thought of an idea!

Many games these days, very noticible in the map editor, when you say "drag" a terrain around, it will automatically put in cracks and rocks everywhere. I could make my tileset engine do this easily. It would probably have one frame that showed up the majority of the time, and probably up to 15 that could be randomly chosen.

Tell me what you think!
DAve

Soooo... sorta like the RPG Maker series auto-tiles..?

Or more like the NWN engine?

Well, Rpg Maker automatically changed the tiles you just laid down (such as water).

NeverWinterNights changed the tiles (and the tiles around it a bit) randomly to add stuff like small bushes, rocks etc.

I was thinking RPGMaker style then, but it could probably be used for both.

nah, what I'm working on right now is just the tileset. I want to automate some things with it, though.
