Kousaten is doing the GUI. I'm programming it. As far as graphics, I've not decided yet. The game isn't your typical ORPG. It's actually nothing like any game that's been created. As Dugor put it, it's a mix up and mash of several different games. The goal of the game, is to live a life. It's not to just run around aimlessly killing things to gain levels. The goal of every player is to have a job that will help the economy. Some of the jobs available are as follows: Merchant Farmer Fisherman Miner Mercenary Soldier Etc. The main feature that I've already completed is player housing. Certain maps are available for a player to claim as their own. Players, when entering a map are able to type /claim. If the house isn't already claimed, the map will then belong to the player. From there, a player can type /edithouse and it will open a very limited version of the map editor for them to use, so that they may decorate their house. Mappers will map the base house and then players will go from there. Merchants will sell items that they buy off other players, like fishermen, farmers and miners. They then sell those items to shops, so that the items are in stock. Each shop will restock a limited amount of every item they keep stock, once a day. After that stock is gone, you will have to wait until a merchant sells it to the shop before you can buy any of it. This thread will be updated when I feel like it. |

Good luck with it. I was actually going to make a very similar project a while back, which was just default Mirage with tons of tradeskills in it xD Never got around to it though |

Good luck this is an idea I had in a way but never acted on. Mine was more complex though more less the same thing though. I thought of having something like normal life where you get a job and all jobs revolve around each other like in real life. Like need someoneto make food, clothing so on. |

Um. The game is in slow going atm. I just moved into my new house and what not. I'm not rushing this game, as I don't wanna get irritated with it and just up and quit. I work on it here and there when I have freetime from my other projects. |

I've been wanting to do a "Life" game for a long time. But I never been able to start one since Im making a rpg. I suggest you add in a age system. You start at age 10. And from that you go to age 55. During that time you can only learn new abilities depending on your age. Age 10-15 could be messenger +2 other things. And after that maybe specialize in a school subject etc. Start a family. Be a murderer and actually kill of another char so he has to start over.. Well that's just what Ive been thinking about for a long time. Wish you luck. |

Yeah, but the idea would be to make it really hard to be a murderer. And if you decide to take the path as a murderer, there are also a path for cops. So a cop can kill of a murderer. But of course the fighting scene will need a lot of work for it to be fun. But keep to the way you said, my way is way to weird and hard. |

The permanent death scene. But too many people would quit. |

Well the thing is people wouldn't quit. It would just open up a new view to the game. When creating a char, you could have 3 different characteristics for the player to choose. Either: - Friendly (cops etc) - Unfriendly (murderers/robbers) - Normal (stays out of the other peoples way) And then you could clearly state when creating a char what the different characteristics means. So if you want to avoid a permanent death, pick Normal state. And the thing is that it should be hard to kill someone too. |

I could make it to where, if you decide to be a guard or w/e, you can die forever, same with a murderer. But if you go normal, you just respawn. Normal players would be the backbone of the economy. Lol. |
