Full project details and information can be found here:
http://shade.shadeddimensions.com/about
(The website is currently WIP so forgive any mess)

The game forum can be visited by going to this link:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~Basic Project Information~
Shade is a 2d MMORPG currently in development.
What we want to accomplish with this project, is an active and bright community,
fun and dynamic game-play that everyone will enjoy.
For Shade, we are aiming to be far above 'standard', an MMORPG.
Feature rich, letting users know there is always something to do in the game.
Also Shade will be a very dynamic and advanced game, there will be twists
and turns and a huge development in story that will eventually push a
major change in gameplay.
A fierce combat system allowing players to really get into the action, with
intense battles through combinations of attacks and tactics, it will always
be an exiting challenge to defeat the monsters around you.
As well as a developed skill system, allowing for you to branch out
or follow individual path's of specialty, with crazy skills allowing for
wonderful feats in battle.
Pet's will be an integral part of gameplay, not just simply standing by your side,
but evolving into a powerful combat ally to radiate battles even further,
with skills able to be taught to your pet, and also eventually able to Soul bond
with your partner, to navigate the large world of Shade with speed.
Quests will be exciting, as well as the npc's that give them, not just some
dialog that's a chore to read through so the player can get there quest
item they've been waiting 15 levels for because there aren't any other
quests worth putting effort in to.
Dungeons with enthralling boss's that will need real gameplay smarts to battle them.
And lots more systems that will make Shade more than 'just another game in the ocean'.
i don't think it's a good idea to sign up just to advertise....
Yes, but Mirage Source forums is not an advertising forum.
Yeah, I know that..
But if I'm not allowed to post a project here, why is there this section o.o..
Also, it's not like all I did was just post this up and leave it never to be seen again.
I'm replying aren't I?
I'm still logged in.
I'll be checking in every day, but if I was completely active in every topic on every forum that I had posted
this in the 'other engine' area, there wouldn't be any time to actually work on the game.
Hopefully you understand that, and refrain from continuing to flame me o_o;
Logging in every day and replying is considered active isn't it?
Hopefully I'm allowed to be here and do that.
Sorry if you think that all this is, is an advertisement and that I don't plan to be here tomorrow.
note: I've looked about a few of the other topics in here, there first reply wasn't telling them off for informing
people of there project, of course I can't verify if that was there *first* post, but still.
Yes it is..
This place is a lot of things. Let staff handle things homie.
The game looked nice, until I seen the RMXP tiles..
*Laughs at the fighting heads*
It really does look nice. But the tiles, you need to change those. And if you're as good with the pixel as you are with a pencil, then you shouldn't have any problem. I've got a nice Ragnarok feel from this.
haha :),
have no fear you 2, ^^..
As soon as I get a tile artist those rmxp graphics will be getting replaced.
But, as they are the most versatile resource, I'm using those temporarily
(The tile artist will be replacing graphics 'over' the tileset images, that
way the world in-game can be built, without having to be rebuilt once
we get a tile artist, and without the delay of waiting until one is found).
Hope that makes sense :)
quote from top post~
"note: These graphics are going to be replaced once a tile artist is found.
But it's going to be replaced ontop of these, so that all the layout of the world
will stay the same so this is still a good representation of what Shade's world
will look like when completed."
So, seeing as that settles that,
glad you like the project so far, lol ^^.
Replacing tiles over old ones is a drag. I hope you pay the guy a bit.
*Shakes fist at Fox*
Curse you and my willingness to work for free. I even declined free webspace!
Um... Poyzin... who are you?
You can dazzle us with your mediocre pictures all you want, but when I try to read your descriptions I stumble upon misspelled words and poor grammar. I suggest you repair these blasphemous errors!
lol Egon.
And your pretty much just making the tiles, then placing it over parts
of the image it needs to be.
It's easier than remapping an entire world isn't it ;)? lol.
And yes, I do plan to pay the team once the project is making a profit,
(there will be a Cash Shop, but not one of those terrible ones games have
these days that make it almost impossible to play without paying for something ^^;).
I also plan to keep a few for the next project aswell.
(obviously if it's 3d I can't keep people that are strictly pixel artists).
But I'd hope they would stay around as GM's ingame, etc :).
The sprites are quite nice but you do definitely need different tiles xD.
Another thing, on your website you have the cursor changed to something else.. I would recommend leaving it as the OS default and not changing it.
Thanks ^^..
Yes, lol, we need new tiles.
But it's almost impossible to find any tile artists, and those you do
eventually find are already on a project, or they require payment.
(So, anyone who is good at making tiles, out of a project and
willing to work for free, contact me @_______@, lol).
Like I said though I'll be paying people after the project, but
most don't accept that.
And I like people with a personality as well, most of those who require
payment won't really have any passion for the game.
Aww lol, you don't like the custom cursor?
Took me forever to get the damn code to work in multiple browser's lol.
(I'm looking at you stupid IE)
Any particular reason?
I just don't like the cursor really... I don't know why just a personal thing maybe. Mostly I prefer my white cursor with nothing trailing behind it and that's it.
That's fair enough.
I'll throw up a poll in suggestions and see what the members think :).
"~~edit
Poll has now been thrown up there :3
~~"
Oh and, I found the pie chart.
Image
I laughed so much at this, found it when I was trying
to get something working on an old website.
Which of course, was trying to figure out how to
get something working in IE, haha.
I'm a member who has been here since November 2007. I am a developer on the game Apocalypse Online. I am still learning these members attitudes so I know what I should post on the forum and what not to.
And I'm also a member who should not worry about other members.
