This isn't exactly help wanted.. However.

I have become quite busy in my life and cannot find time to work on Merrimint, or even be motivated to at all. It's sad the amount of time and effort I have put forth into the project and I do not want to see it go to waste. I am wondering if anybody would like to take it over. That's all.

The project will come with the two domain names Merrimint.net and Merrimint.org as well as hosting for the remaining period. It will include the source code and all graphical work I have done. This does not include copyrights to any artwork that either Hikaru or myself have created. However you have my permission to use them with obvious credit being put forth. The website, forums and so on and so forth. All PSDs and such will also be included. I would like to get some money for some of it so I think I will be charging.

Certain people who I would like to see take the project are in mind, Matt, Rian or Lea. However if none of them are interested then I will take others into consideration. Either post here, PM me or catch on me GTalk or WLM.

I would never pay for an MS source, first off. Lol.

Second off, I got my hands full with MS.Net and if I remember correctly, the community doesn't exactly like me.

Anthony, are you planning on selling merriment, or letting one of the vets take it over so it doesn't die?

I wasn't exactly very clear about that part I guess. If it were one of the vets I wouldn't try and sell it but if it were anybody else I would want to try and get some money for it.. Lol.. I just don't really want to see it die but have put a bit of money into the web server mostly.

It's not a bad project. You have a pretty loyal following too. Problem is, I would end up converting it to VB.Net before I did anything with it, in which case, it would take awhile to actually get anything released.

Sorry.

I haven't even touched my own project in a week or two. Where the hell has Lea been?

I would take it over, however I am deeply embroiled in finals week at college, and I plan on helping matt with ms.net as well. I don't think I would be able to do the project justice.

Very bad idea. Always is.

Maybe I will just keep it all and put it on hiatus for awhile. When summer comes I might end up bored on some days or something. Still though, if somebody decides they want it, let me know.

mmm, tempting.... However, I wouldn't get around to it for a while even if i did ask for it (end of the school year and all that).

mmm... idk I'll think about it (if you're even willing to even think about me having it :D )

You could give it to Giaken and I as property of Asphodel Games. ;D

Post subject:  Re: Merrimint

You and Giaken would be a couple I could see using it well. I don't want to give it to some noob really who's just going to run it down or something. I have put a lot of work into the GUI especially as well as the source code :P.

Sounds interesting...I was thinking about it. How close is it to being able to be released?

I don't recommend passing the project to GIAKEN.
Its a good project, and should be managed by somebody who would actually finish it.

You're one to talk about finishing a project, Rory...

And if I got a hold of this I would definitely make a release.
