Hey guys! I'm Meka! Some might know me.. I'm from Elysium! I'm Alpha Tester for Godborn and I'm developping my own project since few month. So.. I think I can easily say I'm part of those great and big projects that everyone's looking for! I'm a pretty good graphits and I'm developping my own engine for my game! Anyway! Here's what I wanted to show you!

He didn't. He said he's part of some of the big games coming out (ie. GodBorn (a matter of opinion))

How can it look like something that doesn't exist. If GodBorn was actually playable you could say it was copied. But if Meka gets there first... tough luck.

Must admit that Godborn WAS an inspiration but I'm now follwing my own trail and it really doesn't look like Godborn.. except on the point that our games are online! :wink:

And you both use RMXP. I think that's what most people are finding similar. I started putting RMXP into Elysium ages ago when I first got my hands on the full graphics. Then everybody else started doing it.

Really annoying. I'm looking for a nice new tileset that hopefully nobody will decide to steal (Atleast not with the image encryption).

I look forward to seeing this game, maybe you'll release it, maybe not, I won't get my hopes up :P

Godborn will probably be able to carry more players, not sure what programming experience Meka has since most of everything is done in es.

I don't know if you've read the first post but.. I'm developping my whole engine for my game (Dx7/Dx8) and things are getting pretty good! I'm currently working on the basic menu, spell animation, particle system and all those stuff aren't done yet but they'll be present for the first Beta!

I don't recall that :P. I recall using Rpgmaker 2k3 and then RMXP when it came out, thats what made me try the gfx for ES.

Anyway, wow i just popped in? :P

Anyway nice GUI meka, as meka said.. to you and to me when he did the GUI.. He said he was inspired by my work and tried something like it.. Hey hey now everybody uses the gradient-icon-buttons for their GUIs. Thats why im not using that any longer.. :P. I liked the AOB gui more than i like the new one.. but everyone uses that style now :P.

Works pretty much as how now everybody uses mekas mainmenu style.. the login window and the buttons and so on.. People copy people, but when you copy someone you often come up with something new..

When i did the new Godborn gui i was inspired by the NWN2 one.. but i only copied the colours, or not copied.. i made similar ones.

Anyway, good luck with your game.

It's hard finding a orgiginal idea for a GUI now when there are tons of different out there. I will remake my, just hope I can do something good.

lol I must admit MANNNYY people copy my MainMenu idea! But .. they weren't as good as mine (you can easily find them on Elysium loll) Anyway! I think the hardest thing in developping a GUI is the color choice! Once you found the good mix and all, the rest is pretty easy if you well-know the program (CS 2 for me) so.. Good luck for anybody trying to make their own! ;)

P.S. I'm not english, i'm from Quebec in Canada and... my english isn't perfect! lol (just to specify why I'm doing some stupid mistake sometimes... loll)
