Introduction
For a long time, the community has been almost shattered. So I thought we should start some competitions. There will be two official ongoing competitions, one on the summer (now) and one on the winter. Between there members may apply to start their own competition in this topic.

How Does it Work?
For every entry, you will be given a sub forum in this board. In that board, you can submit your material for your competition. Remember to clearly state in the topic name for what catagory you will like to challange with your material. For this competition we will have 4 catagories:

Catagories
  • Gfx - The idea is for you to use your graphic and make it as appealing as possible. Either you can make maps or just post the gfx as you have it. It can be sprites, enemies, buildings used for your games. GUIs will not be taken into consideration here. You may used ripped graphic but that will lower the chance of winning.
  • Story - Best written story.
  • Programming - Since people dont want to share their sources, we will have to rely on screenshots or sample of codes.
  • Originality - This is where you post your most original screenshots or ideas that would make your game the most unique.
  • Tutorial - For the best tutorial. You can use one of your old tutorials or make a new. Making a new would probably increase your chance of winning thought.

Judgeing
A poll will be created for each catagory, including all members who applied for that certain catagory. The prices (trophy) has not yet been drawn, hopefully Vans or someone else with a lot of talent can draw a trophy for each catagory. And also have the name Summer Comp. 07 on them.

Competition has started, request for a sub forum here to enter the competition. You can see my k2h board if you want to see how to set the catagories up. Of course you dont need to enter all 4 catagories if you dont want too.

And is this MS-related only, or does from scratch counts?

Your game can be made of es or from scratch, you can still join :)

After the 15th July, the sub forums will be locked and I will create polls to vote out the winner of each catagory. You can enter any date before the 15th July.

When does the summer holiday stop for you guys, in sweden it is like the 25 August or something. Guess I can add a few days more to the deadline if you join, since this is the first competition. What board name?
